Frequently asked questions

What does "confirmed" mean? At least one device (Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go, PS5, Xbox Series, or a notebook) has been reported working with that specific product, with a source cited next to the claim — a review, a verifiable forum thread, or a dated first-hand test. The manufacturer saying "USB-C compatible" is not enough: we require evidence about that exact model.

Where do the specs come from? Always from a primary source cited per product — the manufacturer's own page, its datasheet, or (when nothing else is available) an independently verified secondary source. No field is filled in with a "typical" or plausible value for the category: without a source, the field stays empty instead of showing an invented number.

Why don't all products show up in the directory? We load products even when their research is still incomplete, but a listing is only published (and offered to search engines) once it has specs from a verified source and at least one confirmed device. A product without that evidence exists in the database but isn't shown until it's complete.

Does the site make money from links to stores? Some product pages may include affiliate links (for example, to the Amazon Associates program): if you buy through those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes which products get marked as confirmed or what specs are shown — compatibility evaluation is independent of whether a product carries an affiliate link.

Found something wrong or outdated? Hardware changes over time (firmware, board revisions, regional availability), so a fact that was correct when we checked it can go stale. If you have evidence something changed, contact us with the source and we'll fix it.
